In our 10 years of planning weddings, it was a shock that it took us this long to finally work at the historic Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. We’ve always loved this venue and when Nancy & Anthony inquired with us and told us that Nixon Library was their location, we were even more excited to work with them! This Orange County wedding was nothing short of perfection: the grounds are absolutely pristine, the design was classic with modern touches, and the couple sprinkled their personal love story details throughout the day.
To start off, the couple chose to do a tea ceremony to honor the traditions of their Vietnamese culture. It was one of the most well organized tea ceremonies we’ve been a part of. What we loved even more was that the venue had a separate area we could use for the tea ceremony, so it almost felt extremely private and almost like being at a completely different location. In addition to the tea ceremony, the couple changed into their traditional Vietnamese attire during the reception, another way to pay homage to their backgrounds.
But one of our favorite parts of the entire day was when Jeni’s Ice Cream and Sidecar Donuts made their debut! The guests went crazy for this surprise, and it was a creative way to bring some of Nancy & Anthony’s favorite things to complete their best day ever!
